Role Overview

We’re looking for a Copywriter to join our creative team and help shape ideas and storytelling across a wide range of video-led work.

This role is ideal for someone who can move between big-picture thinking and sharp execution - from helping crack concepts from the ground up, to writing and directing voiceovers, title cards, social copy and campaign language, to reading scripts and distilling complex information into clear, engaging communication.

A lot of our work is video-based, so you should be comfortable writing for moving image, understanding pacing and storytelling, and collaborating closely with creatives, editors, designers and producers to make the work stronger.

What you’ll need: Strong writing samples that show conceptual thinking, clarity, versatility and an understanding of writing for film, digital and branded content.

NB: An interest in current AI tools and an example of how you implement these tools into your workflow. Or an example of any other workflow augmentation.

What You’ll Do

Concept & Creative Development

  • Help develop original concepts for campaigns, content pieces and branded storytelling.

  • Contribute to brainstorms and shape ideas from early thinking through to production.

  • Work closely with the creative team to turn strategy and insight into compelling creative territory.


Writing for Video

  • Write voiceovers, title cards, supers, social copy and campaign messaging across a variety of formats.

  • Read scripts, treatments and decks, helping to tighten language and condense information clearly.

  • Write with an understanding of rhythm, tone, structure and how words work with picture.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Creative Directors, Designers, Editors, Motion Designers, Producers and Strategists.

  • Collaborate across pitch work, campaign development and live project delivery.

  • Help ensure messaging is consistent, sharp and appropriate to each brand and audience.

What We’re Looking For

Portfolio / writing samples that show:
✔ Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to find the idea.
✔ Clear, confident writing across different tones and formats.
✔ The ability to simplify, sharpen and structure information effectively.
✔ Writing that feels culturally aware, audience-specific and strategically grounded.
✔ An understanding of how copy works in video, social and campaign environments.


Skills & experience

  • Experience writing for video, campaigns, branded content or social content.

  • Comfortable writing across long and short form - from scripts and VO to headlines and on-screen text.

  • Able to interpret briefs and respond with ideas, structure and polished writing.

  • Bonus: experience in entertainment, sport, lifestyle or youth culture brands.

  • Comfortable working alongside a team of video editors, designers and producers.

  • Proofreading (reviewing subtitles and making sure on-screen titles are correct).

  • Organised and able to manage multiple pieces of work at once.
