Production Manager

Are you a people person? A logistical genius? Someone who thrives on planning and organising? Then you should apply for this job at our wonderful hybrid creative and production agency, Iconic. 

As a production manager, you’ll be joining a team of seasoned producers, supported by strong editors and creative thinkers. You’d be responsible for acting as the voice between Iconic and the rest of the world - i.e. suppliers, vendors, agents, etc. 

Crew members and gear houses shouldn’t hesitate to give you a call or pop you a message, even if it’s to say happy birthday. You will be involved in a range of diverse productions from the get-go and throughout, arranging shoots and helping out on set. 

You’d be an important piece of the behind-the-scenes machine that brings it all together to create the magic for viewers to watch and behold; A key cog in the production department, who is responsible for logistics, planning, handling of budgets and managing production schedules. 

You will report to the senior producers - they’re nice people - and alongside a production coordinator. .

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and liaising with all cast and crew, including their travel, accommodation, permits - as well as your own if you’re joining the trip

  • Booking of gear and communicating with gear houses

  • Organising catering and location permissions - a well-fed crew is a happy crew

  • Filling in all administrative documentation for projects, vendors, etc

  • Assisting with and distributing all call sheets, movement orders, scripts, releases.

  • Keeping track of productions and keeping everyone updated on progress and changes - the show must go on

  • Working within a budget and assisting with budget recons and invoicing 

Requirements:

  • Must love admin and planning and logistics

  • Be organised

  • Be able to negotiate and manage people 

  • Ability to multitask & problem solve - if you can juggle that’d be cool

  • A people person who has great communication skills

  • Computer literacy skills. Are you proficient in Excel? 

  • A driver’s licence - it’s not for street races

  • Already have a rolodex of supplier contacts, and strong relationships with crew, agencies, etc

Preferred Experience:

  • 2 - 5 years experience in a production management role - Please if you don’t have the experience, don’t apply. 

  • A degree in film, marketing, communications or a related field would be an advantage.
